    Default Shapton Diamond Reference Lapping Plate

    Fellow has the steel backed Shapton diamond plate up here. The one that sharpens plane irons on the back side. Interesting to look at the photo of the diamond side and compare the pattern to the GDLP. I'm pretty sure I read that the GDLP is recommended for the glass stones over the DRLP. Anyway, if any of you feel the need there it is.
    Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

    Stone truing side at 8 microns flat according to the Shapton website.
