I'm selling some of my stones on Ebay.......
I'm thinning my herd with thoughts of saving up for some workshop gear.
A glass smooth restored to better than new Corundum barber hone.
A NOS unused and unlapped Tam O' Shanter
And.........yes, my highly figured Tiger Striped Coticule
I have a bunch of other barber hones including a 3 line Swaty that I'll be dispersing into the Ebay beyond in the near future. A few of the barber hones are quite unique and high grit.

I have not decided yet. I'm torn between a mini-metal lathe, a mini-metal mill or a mini metal lathe/mill. I've worked with wood, but the thought of turning metal appeals to me more at this point.
Actually, my Nakayama Asagi is on its way back to So tomorrow. So has graciously and without hesitation offered to take it back and search for a suitable replacement (he offered a full refund as well, but I want a stone). Problem? The goma (iron pyrite inclusions). While I can see the stone overall is excellent, the inclusions when released during honing (with slurry) appeared to keep causing micro-chipping to the edge. The area of the stone that did not have the goma cluster under magnification was text book beautiful (that wonderful sandblasted bevel appearance only slurry honing gives and a perfectly straight edge). So said that goma due to the softness of pyrite does not normally have any adverse affect on edges. But.....that would be in reference to chisels and plane irons or possibly even Japanese style razors. My theory is that a western style razor with such a thin edge, two sided bevel and steeper angle hits those released goma and is affected. I'm sure he'll find me a great stone!
Well, I'm holding off on that for now at least!

That tiger striped coticule is gorgeous. I'm kinda surprised that the price hasn't changed any in quite a while.... I'm assuming there's gonna be a snipe war going on in the last few minutes.....
Good luck with the sales!

I'll bet you'll see more "sniping" on those than on "old vinyl"
Seriously though, don't you think you'd do better selling them on this site?
