Thread: Blue Glass Hone???

Does anyone know what this hoe is made of, it looks liek blue glass to me, but I'm sure of our resident genui (genuises?) knows what it is.

I like the look of it but if it's just glass then I'll cut myself a peice and get busy with the sandpaper.

It's not glass. It's a simple barber hone. Given the significant chips and the hardness of barber hones in general I would not bid on that hone. It's at $10 now and would require extensive lapping to get a decent surface.

I've never seen a blue hone before and it looked to me like the sunlight was shining through it adn castin blue light on the wall behind.
