Yes, there's only 450 numbered in circulation which off course is part of the collectible's value.

The blade itself takes a wicked sharp edge and is an amazing shaver. To me it also gives a very comfortable and smooth shave.

Personally I don't think you should buy them for their shaving properties. There's other razors out there that might give you the same shaving properties.

You should buy this razor solely for the historial background and collectors value. The razor being an amazing and excellent shaver is a big bonus imo.

Hope this helps a bit and I'm sure others will chime in.
+1. couldn't say it better then that. I just checked and RasuperDE is sold out. That was the last place I knew of that had any for sale. I guess they just got rarer.

I have one and in my opinion its right up there with the very best shavers. personally I don't buy razors for any historical value since that aspect is unimportant to me. Many razors will give fantastic shaves but there is a small representation of razors that I call exceptional razors that are in a different class and no matter how much you hone some razors they will never reach that class. They simply don't have it in them for a number of reasons. The TIPT is one of those razors that is an exceptional razor.

I'd be interested to hear what your top 5 razors are. I know the TIPTE is part of it, what about the other 4. Thx.
