I'm selling some barber hones on Ebay
I'm selling off a handful of barber hones on Ebay this week. A 3 line Swaty and a unique Zenith to name a few.
3 LINE SWATY
Marshall Wells Hardware Co. Zenith Hone
Both are lapped/reconditioned and ready to go. BTW, for barber hones I consider lapped and reconditioned to be different; Most barber hones can be lapped but if the lapping stops on a coarse grit stone, the original surface is altered and degraded. Reconditioning to me means lapping and bringing the surface through time consuming additional lapping stages on finer and finer grits until the surface is smooooooooooth and reflects light.
There will be a few others that I'm putting on Ebay this week as well.

I'd mail one to you if you PM'd me telling me that you'd be bidding on any of them.
I'm gradually selling off my vinyl album collection and have found with that in shipping them internationally that the postal rates have become ridiculous when shipping to many countries. Ridiculous to the point that I've had a few international buyers of those items waffle and end up backing out of the transaction even though I have charged the actual shipping rates only and have indicated that I would send items Priority Mail International. One source of contention is that I really only want to send Ebay items out with a delivery confirmation option if possible. I prefer then to send Priority Mail International (there's the high cost).

Yeah with delivery confirmation the cheapest is the priority flat rate envelope for $12.
I've shipped quite a few things internationally using 1st class mail and for razors and light items it's only few $, but of course there's always the risk. The buyers have been willing to assume it and I have not had any problems so far, so it's mostly the waiting in line at the post office.

First class is fine if it is a small item. When you get above a relatively modest weight or package size they will only allow you to use priority for international mail. I found out the hard way. I was just lucky the buyer was a good sport and split the extra postage with me.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Ivan, thanks for the tip. I revised all 4 barber hone listings and will open them up to worldwide shipping for the $12 flat rate envelope charge. Nice!
