    hey blade,

Mine wasn't that bad...I actually shaved with it last night..Pretty good shave.
Before shaving I took it to the 4k/8k for a few swipes and then moved to a yellow coticule and finished on a pasted strop and regular strop.

I have to agree with the others that the blade is actually pretty decent but the scales are just a joke.
I'm hoping to find a replacement scale for it.

The Dovo plastic scales would probably fit. The wood ones would not flex enough to accommodate the thicker shank.

In the future, I'm going to offer an upgrade to custom scales. I just about decided how I"m going to do this on a semi production basis. I intend to keep the price down so it will still be a good entry level razor.

So would something like this do the trick?
THe scales on my DA are actually not broken only the pin that holds the blade in place..Could I find something locally at an hardware store for example to fix it?

I tell you why, the shipping cost to the states from eu + packing $$$$$ So that's a no go..

I have read loads of posts about the D-Arrow and therefore I was warned.

My guess is that its a lottery buying it of Ebay...

    Default Double Arrows

well I have to admit that not owning one but having Honed one from Doc I was kinda impressed, the scales ,well yes they arent maybe the best but for the money i thought it shaved pretty well, and yes, e-butt, is definately a lottery sometimes.
After honing it I shaved with it and got a pretty good shave...just me chiming in.

    regards,simon

Hey guys, if you get a defective razor, contact Open_Razor or stamps222 and explain to them or better yet, send a picture of your razor. I would venture to say that either one of them would send you a replacement.

If all else fails contact me and I'll see what I can do for you.

This is damage that was probably done at the factory. I suspect the blade might have been at the bottom of the batch when something fell on it. Contact open razor on eBay, he lives in Poland. It will save the hassle of shipping across the pond. Tell him I sent you.
