Default Picked these up, you ever heard of the makers?

    New England Razor Co.

    Masello Bros.

I noticed the Henckels he was selling which I assumed would go for than I wanted to spend and then I noticed he had these listed as well. Never heard of the brands but the condition of them look un-used so I went for it. Anyone ever heard of these or have any experience with them?

I'm concerned about the blueing of the Blue Steel Special. Do you think that's heat damage or intentional since it's "blue steel"?

I hadn't heard of the Masello but I've had (or have, hell I don't know) a few from New England Razor. They are just fine. Most American razor companies made, or used, high quality steel.

IMO there is nothing wrong with the razor, the heat marks are on the tang and is more than likely a signature/trademark. If those were on the blade Id be concerned.

The New England"s are great shavers, honed a few, and owned one...

That Masello Bros if I ventured a guess, just from the looks, I would bet some money, that it is a re-branded Kinfolks Blue Steel... You might find that Masello Bros was a hardware store, or Dept. store that just sold the razors....
If it is what I think, you just scored big, because those older Kinfolks are really great blades, I mean "really" great shavers.....
