Listing is for an early shaving set including mug with floral design, brush and Wonderedge Straight Razor with name Dubl Duck (and 2 ducks) on blade. These 3 items are in their original box which has a pretty lady decoration on top. Box shows much wear with original covered paper worn off in areas and picture is loose and detached from box in the front. Inside of box has mirror in lid and is lined in rose colored fabric with places for the mug, razor and brush. It has the date 1905 written on side where some of the paper is missing. The mug also has a piece of paper in it which reads "Roy gave Dad this mug for Christmas in 1905 the Button is Ben's". Bottom of box has the inscription" Present to Garah A. Trotter, Dec. 25, 1905 by Ben Sullivan". Mug, brush and razor are all in excellent condition. Razor is very attractive with mother of pearl and brass trim (2 ducks on front and back both, blade is very nice, free of rust, sharp and is marked on backside Pearl Duck Solingen Germany. Box measures 7 1/4 x 5 1/4 x 3 inches high. This is a nice old set from times past

The Pearl Duck marking would seem to indicate manufacture sometime after 1951.

Found this info at Straight Razor Manufacturers and Dates of Operation :

    BRESDUCK INC.
224 Canal Street, New York City
Also used trademarks "DUBL-DUCK", "LIFETIME", "NAPOLEON", "BEAU BRUMMEL", "DEUTSCH", "SATINEDGE"
ca. 1930 - 1952; firm became known as Pearlduck in 1952
