I'm going for this bad boy, my birthday present for next month if I get it.

cross your fingers for me. looks like it can be left as is, no sanding risking getting rid of etching. maybe in some faux tortouise or horn?

should I have waited till after it ended? I figured the guys here were cool enough that anybody not already going after it wouldn't do that to a fellow member after seeing it.

but I guess all it takes is one determined competitor. I'll wait next time till the auction is over.

Since you stated that you wanted that blade I am certain that no member here who saw your post would've bid on it!
That being said, there are a number of non members prowling the halls of SRP!

yeah, i didnt' even think about the gawkers. i'll go from the approach that if I dont' get it I wasn't supposed to have it. besides, if I win it then I can't get a tattoo for my birthday, quite a dilemma!

of course what to get for the tattoo is driving me nuts, too many choices, too few body parts, $$$. now if my two year old who seems pretty good with the crayons/markers keeps getting better....free tattoos in 16 years??

I kept an eye just to see how much it would go up. It didn't have "straight razor," "Wade," or "Butcher" in the title, but it seems people still found it.

I guess I thought it would go for a bit more, but that final price is still more than I would have spent on it.

I won! Thank God I won it for 82 bucks instead of the 120 I put in. I went away to lunch and was sitting there thining, man I hope it doesn't go all the way up.

Am I missing something with these big W&B though? I saw one last week go for almost 200 bucks. one big reason i went for this one is the guy said when i contacted about size that it was 1 3/8" wide!!! by 5/16". It didn't look that big from the pics but it did look to have a larger tang on it. I have a 7/8" w&b that shaves like a dream but the tang is small.

Wow, 1 3/8 is massive!!! Notice he didn't say that in the description. And, as I mentioned above, the title wasn't great. In some of the pictures there was, what looked to me, like some bad pitting; but with closeups at wide angels, it's hard to be sure. (I really don't think the pictures were very good)
