Default Who sniped my Kinfolks Ace?

    item: 140293069669

Just curious to know what I *would* have had .
I think it's been rescaled? She had another different brand razor with what looked like the identical metal work on a different color set of scales.
She said the blade rubbed one side when closing.
The pics almost looked like the blade tapered slightly toe to heel but she said it was straight.

it would have gone well well with my Top-Notch

I don't know who that guy was

I did notice he had the same name as I do here though, must be a coincidence

I'll let ya know if she is anywhere near as good as yer Top-Notch when it gets here....

Haha, it looked like it was probably going to need a bit of work so I cut my max bid by $20... YOU were going to be doing the work anyway . Looked like the tang was a bit grungy and maybe needs repinned.

Don't forget to report back. I'm wondering if it's the same dimensions and stuff.
Let's say it was the same guy(s) making them. Do you suppose they did things like put the same blade in different scales and put a different model/name on them? So the difference between an "Ace" and a "Top-Notch" might primarily be the scales? Or would a different model/name pretty much always be a different blade?

I'm guessing you're going to hang on to this one, so maybe you'll get inspired to start digging for history on it. Believe it or not, mine continues to shave even better every time I use it.

My understanding was that the "Ace" was one of their top of the line razors... I think yer Top Notch might be a shorter version, sorta like the Special #1 and the Dwarf Dubl Ducks.... But that is just a "WAG"

I can't even find a list of the models they made. I knew of the Blue Steel, then I bought the Top-Notch (never heard of that before), and now I know they made an Ace. Those old catalog pages he has on his website doesn't show the razors.
