I think that was steep. Last week there was another Boker on Ebay in much better shape that went for around $25.... Perhaps this has something special ;-).

So I was reading the item description and wondering who the idiot was (since it seems to usually be the seller). Then I saw the selling price...
I also have to admit, I was hoping I'd see people for sale.

Probably the bidding psyche involved there. Where a few people really want something that bad and put common sense on hold in the heat of the bidding war. Or it may be just someone bound and determined to have it no matter what the cost was...

Unbelievable! Did you anybody notice that the heavy bidding from $40 on was between two people only?
I bet these wonder twins thought they where bidding in a rare Boker with special scales usually not seen on a Red Injun. I guess they never heard of rescaling.

Wow! You can buy a few Bokers for that price. Someday I want to compile some data on ebay selling prices for 'normal' descriptions and ones that state 'vintage and rare'. I'm certain that this description causes the uninformed to drive the price up.
I came across a listing the other day for a 'vintage and very rare' three piece copper Gillette DE with a high starting bid ... razor was a common, albiet older, Tech with all the plating worn off.

That's what a bidding war will get you
