Dubl Duck on E-Pay
Here is a nice razor. 8 days out and it already has 10 bids. What do you think the final purchase price will be?

oh no, another duck, what a find
with pictures like these i wouldn't have bid that high, but there are two bidders who seem to really want it. I seem to remember Bill Ellis sold a lightly cleaned up one for $250 few months ago, but sometimes the ones with pretty pictures go for upwards of $450.
May be I should cash in one of mine one of these days

I'm somewhat new to wetshaving but is there something about the Wonderedge in particular that would drive the price that high?

Several things - it was the higher end model of ducks, so there are fewer of them to start with, the paperwork claims unique electical hardening, and probably not least important an old video of Lynn shaving with one and mentioning how nice they are
I think that's why you hardly ever hear razor brands come out of Lynn's mouth anymore

I don't have one, but there are some on the forum that state that this the be all end all when it comes to razors. I guess they hold an edge real well and shave really nice.
There was one that didn't have quite as nice of pictures as this one that went for $455.00 last week, and there was one with a chip in the blade that went for $137.00 or something close.
They are talked about a lot on the boards so that may have something to do with the price as well.

gugi,
It's funny you mention that video, and here's where I show my ignorance. I saw that video outside of SRP I believe, maybe through Google, but now recall vividly the gentleman referring to the "wonderedge" at the time, thought it just had a nice edge?
Sounds like the seller of this item owes Lynn a beer, at the least a hearty Thank You!

You mean this one where he mentioned the wonderedge? He also says "if you don't have a mustache like I don't". It makes me laugh every time I see it.
