What's wrong with it? - Not sure what's wrong with the blade, but the scales look like they're made out of wax or something!

Looks good to me. Someone got a deal on that .... if there is nothing wrong with it.

yeah i guess more supply than demand.
it happens i've picked razors at the opening bid, even when they had 100 views and really nice pictures - in fact i can think of a mint condition fritz bracht dovo that nobody but me wanted. sometimes people just prefer to overpay for what everybody else is bidding on - i can't hold it against them, can i

I had it on my watch list. There are just too many other razors that I would rather bid on. I think somebody got a great deal.

It looked like the scales were busted and glued back with a red glue.

I don't know, sometimes those swirly scales have lines in them like that. I've seen a few old W. R. Case & Sons razors with scales that have those marks.

Looks like a great deal. Sometimes the lesser sought after brands go for next to nothing. I picked up a couple NOS blades a few months ago. No rust, no petina, no hone wear, 10 bucks a pop. They were some lesser known American brands and thus everyone else was bidding on the Torrey or whatever the other blade the seller was selling.

My New England area blades are some of my best shavers and I paid next to nothing for them.

There is some great blades out there. I picked up a Torrey with broke scales but a really nice 5/8 full hollow hardly touched blade 9.99 and seller paid shipping. I happend to have some nice decrotive scales waiting.
