Default what am i missing on this duck?

I just got this goldedge for $51 on ebay. What did I miss here? is the blade sawed off or something - it was almost a gag bid, and to my shock it was the winning bid.

looks like there might be a minor spot of pitting in the middle of the spine, but that's about it. There could be rust around the pivot point that we don't see in the picture. Good find! Usually you don't see that much goldwash left.

I was going to place a bid on this one, but I think the honeware, and lack of pictures if I remember correctly, is what turned me off.

But, I'd pay $51 for that razor. Clean up the blade and scales, and maybe do a re-pin if necessary.

Clean her up and she will look like she should!

Ok, that sounds about how I saw it - some honewear but nothing whacko, and the spot in the middle looks to me like grime. He also mentioned in response to a question from me that there was some play in the scales but sounded pretty benign and nothing a repin wouldn't fix. Of course I'm incompetent at repins.......but for $51....... I put that in as a joke and then came back from dinner and was like, "I wonder what I didn't notice"
