    Incidentally: the ad title says horn, but couldn't these scales be tortoise?

    That is a really nice piece of history. That said, even if I had the money, I wouldn't buy her. My razors are shavers, not showpieces (though they might be both), and I don't think I would like honing/shaving with that blade.

    I would agree that the scales appear to be tortoise, but it can be hard to tell without testing/microscopes.

    That was on my watch list. I was planning to put in a snipe bid of thirty quid or so. It didn't quite work out!

    I like that handle with the silver butt. I would hazard to guess tortoise as well.
