    Default NOS SatinEdge/SatinWedge on ebay

Straight razor DUBL DUCK SOLINGEN SATINEDGE NOS !! - eBay (item 110345871997 end time Feb-11-09 20:00:00 PST)

The blade says "SatinEdge" on the tang, and the scales say "SatinWedge". The seller claims NOS. Were there really ducks that came this way from the factory, or is this a rescale job?

If this is a legit razor, anyone here gonna be bidding against me??

Um, I can't really afford another blade right now, and I have 5 or 6 waiting to be honed, including my first dubl duck, but that is gorgeous. Thanks for the tip!!!!

Yeah he is claiming quite a bit there,
    NOS, honed, shave ready....
I have seen enough DD's in the wrong scales to believe that, but looking at the shoulder I think it is a wrong stamp the Satinedge has a double cut shoulder...

the Satinwedge has a single cut shoulder

So it looks to be a satinWedge blade, correctly marked scales, but an incorrect tang stamp, then? Hmm... wonder how an incorrect tang stamp would affect it's value.

What interests me is that he claims that it was made by Dovo for Pearlduck ! Now he is in Germany and maybe he has some first hand knowledge of who made what for whom ? I am going to ask him if he is 100% sure Dovo made that razor and whatever else he can tell me about that.

I can think of at least 5 of those razors that have sold on Eboy in the last couple of years. Its just a mis stamp but it is genuine and no I don't have one.

    Default Dubl Duck Satin Wedge

Looking at a Satin Wedge right now. It has the inlaid Satin Wedge on scales and the shank of the blade has Satin Wedge on one side and the other has Pearl Duck.
Think it is the real McCoy?
The EBay sure looks nice. Odd about the different markings?

I had my eye on it, and was the first high bidder on it, but it very quickly went out of my price range.

wait, i thought that's manfred, am i wrong?
i think it' possible to be both shave ready and unused, but unless it's in sealed package i'd discard 'unused'.
it's currently at 71 shipped, which seems a fairly good price to me. my only point of reference is
    DOVO Straight Razors
and i reckon trading brand new for a more interesting razor which is possibly a bit better and lkely shave-ready it's not a bad deal.
of course you never know if altima55 wins it - next time it shows up it may go for even more.

I think so. Manfred goes by manyrazor, and his listings and photo background are quite different.
