I would suggest you drop a PM to kenrup here in the SRP forums. He has the wapis (shave ready) and strops for the beginner. He can guide you best in getting you started. His prices are good and he's a stand up guy to boot. The wapis can be tricky to hone , so get it shave ready by someone who knows how to . Kenrup is your man.

Thanked: 271The problem with that eBay listing is that, while the razor and strop could be fine, the seller obviously doesn't know much about razors, otherwise what is "Solingen" doing in the title. The information about the razor is taken from another web site. In fact, it looks to me like someone who bought a starter set from someone else and decided they didn't like it. When you're starting out, you'll have a lot of doubts and questions. This seller is not someone you can rely on to help you out if there's a problem. Isn't it worth a little bit more to deal with someone knowledgeable and that you can trust?

yes, you will need to have this razor honed. it may be or it may not be and as chimench said you want to be sure your razor is good.

In my opinion it's a great buy, the strop by itself is worth the money, and you get the Wapi for free

Thanked: 278Indeed. "Includes a Heirloom Latigo "Apprentice" Strop". This combo is worth way more than the current $19.99 bid, expect it to go up. Well worth a snipe bid I'd say
what is "Solingen" doing in the title
