    Nice razor.

Try PM'ing JMS. He once helped me with a name that was not in Uniclectica..

I like when I get decently honed razors. It's happened so few times though. My statistics shows it's a 2% chance. I guess that's why it's so amazing when it happens

I can only think of a couple and both were old guys who were sons of barbers selling their father's razors. One was an FWE and it was shave ready with no problems. I bought his father's coticule from him as well and it was nowhere near flat. Interesting that the old man could get a razor that sharp on that stone.

This past week I received a Hess 44 from this ebay auction, item # 200308541022 if the link doesn't work. It was mint as described with no evidence of having been honed. Passed the TPT and the edge looked good under the 30x so I stropped and shaved. Two pass and bbs. BTW, it didn't pass the HHT before or after stropping but still gave a great shave. Maybe I have a soft beard ? I don't know because it is the only one I have ever shaved.

Edit; BTW Sam, love the spine on that blade.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
