DePew's on the bay
There seemed to be a lot of interest in the DePew's when showed mine off, so i thought i'd let you all know that there's one on the bay! Interested to see what it goes for. Comes with another that has been ground into a knife!

Here's a photo of my old DePew. I sold it to someone here, I think. I didn't realize it was such a small razor! The blade is the size of like... someone's pinky finger.

I saw Ben's and wanted one. Then I did some reading on them and found out how short they are and changed my mind. I love the grind on the blade but unless I could pick up a really nice example cheap I wouldn't go for one. The two on the bay are a bit rough for my taste. YMMV
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I wonder if they did slightly different models, because mine's not quite the same as your's was, Blade Wielder. It's got a double shoulder & a deeper blade. It's 2 1/2 inches long, tip to shoulder & 11/16 deep. It's in it's original box too, which is also very different. I'm quite fond of the proportions, but it's certainly shorter than most!

Yeah, I think there were various incarnations of the razor. As you can see in my photo, the box cites the original patent date, but that doesn't mean all of the DePew razors were made in 1882 -- only the first ones, likely.
