Don't you hate it when you don't bother to bid?
Every now and then, there's an auction for what looks like a sweet blade and I think to myself "That's going to go for so much, I shouldn't even bother bidding." The worst is when they don't go for much at all. Case in point, this pair of blades Joesph Rodgers & Sons matched pair of straight razors - eBay (item 120384341262 end time Mar-03-09 10:29:17 PST)
I would have gladly shelled that out, even though they have cracks "at the bolsters." What cool looking blades! Man I'm upset with myself.

WOW... someone got a steal !
Matched set in the case... ugh ... i know your pain as i have done the same and I would probably not bothered on this one either as it should have gone for much more.
I agree those are some sweet blades

I pass on bidding all the time, and a part of me dies each time. I have seen so many good pieces go for just about 4 bucks more than I was willing to pay, but it's even worse when I don't bid because i think it will be out of reach, then it turns out to sell for almost nothing.

Yeah I saw and didn't bid. I've decided iwth very limited budget that I need to be very specific about what I go for. I wasn't too hot about the handles, one looks to be a rescale. at that price though......well I thought they'd go higher, probably everybody else did too! the guy that won probably had a big bid in and is wetting his pants he's so excited.

Thanked: 735I was going to put a bid in on a razor last night, then figured I'd take a look at how things were going come morning. I got busy with some stuff, and didn't get a chance to check in on The Bay until afternoon, and the bidding was ended. The razor went for $33!!!!! I would have easily gone over that!
