    Default Someone got a deal

Just wondering if anyone here won this?

    straight edge razor W/red case-old - eBay (item 380118390618 end time Apr-25-09 06:16:21 PDT)

I had my eye on it thinking I might be able to get a great deal but I guess others had read the description as well and got the deal. I was really hoping to see the auction not go over $9.00. Oh, well...

    Default Mee Too

I had a watch on this too, bid a couple times but didn't see the need to go very high on this.
    They are plentiful.

A Red Injun ended for under $20 a few days ago. W&Bs don't always sell for hundreds of dollars. From the quality of the pics, I'm not surprised it sold for a little over 20.

..mm.. I think the reason could be the absence of W&B in the title or the main pic with only the case and not the razor: I remember me stopping to bid around 90$ in two auctions with just one pic (and a very bad one), both auctions ended above 150$ for a W&B.

That W&B is has been… "butchered"... Those bakelite scales do not belong to it, but looks like the blade fits because it was shortened by grinding out the barbers notch also the edge was ground down to about 6/8th (probably, originally 8/8th).

So consider yourself lucky… unless you want to get it back in shaving condition, but at that price it may not be worth it.

I knew something about that blade looked funny, but I couldn't figure it out till you posted that. It is so square, and the etching is off center. Good call, Smythe, she's definitely been modified for the worse.
