Thanked: 74Would someone be willing to re-route an ebay item
I have my eye on a razor on the bay, but the seller won't ship to Canada. Is anyone out there willing to accept delivery of an ebay item, then ship it to me? I will, of course, pay for all of the shipping.
PM me if you are interested/willing.

Thanked: 74Thanks to those that responded. Unfortunately the seller was not willing to allow me to bid on the auction, and didn't bother to reply until a couple of hours after the auction ended.
I don't understand why some sellers will only ship within the US. I pay for the shipping. Although I also don't understand why some sellers want 4 US to ship a razor while other sellers want 35. It baffles me.

they're a bunch of cheating bastards, that's why!
In the future, I'd be happy to help you out there- I can get a decent discount shipping from my corporate mail rooms on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Hasn't cost me more than $2.75 to ship a razor CONUS so far. Canada can't be too much more.

Thanked: 171Not that it's right, but some sellers probably don't want the hassle.
They've probably never shipped internationally, and they're not sure what it'll cost, or what extra steps there are (if any) and they simply don't care to find out. It's easier just to avoid it
And many are probably worried about negative feedback. If they start shipping to other people who are going to forward it on, they run the risk of something going awry and ending up with a failed transaction and potentially negative feedback. Not that you would cause him a problem, but I'm sure many would (or have in the past?)

Thanked: 13245I ship quite a bit Internationally, the only hassle is the one small form you have to fill out basically you have the write the address's twice WOW that's tuff....
My worry with International and this is everywhere, is the huge cost of insurance, that is truly the difference...

well international shipping on ebay could be a bit tricky.
since 1st class doesn't provide tracking and confirmation a seller who chooses to ship this way will automatically lose any paypal chargebacks.
i would only ship 1st class international on cheap items or if i trust the buyer,
otherwise they'll have to pay the $15 or so for a flat rate priority box.
there is also the potential inconvenience of having to do it in person at the post office as opposed to printing the shipping label from home and just dropping it off. for me waiting 30 min in line at my local post office to do so is a pretty big deal and it seems to happen quite often recently.
and as glen said unfortunately the only way to get insurance on international shipments is to use the way more expensive priority mail.
