Is this Puma worth the money?
Title pretty much speaks for itself. Looks unused, but rusted blade. Will it clean up?

Thanked: 1903I would steer clear of it. Goldwash cannot be repaired, and there is rust on the edge.
This is what a good one looks like for comparison: Puma "Gold" 6/8 - Straight Razor Place Wiki

Thanked: 156NO! Stay away. I have a boker red injun with rust on the edge. *sigh* I'm looking at 4 hours just to repair that edge. 2 minutes of breadknifing and 3 hours 58 minutes of bevel resetting. NOT FUN.

Thanked: 84It's way too much money for a razor that may/probaly not be useable even after working on it. I wouldn't risk more than a few £'s on it.
I bought a Puma No1 in better condition with the view to sell it on after restoring it. After removing "live" rust, it still has bad pitting near the edge of a very fine ground blade!!.
It's a great shaver for now, but not good enough to sell on as in the next few years it is going to die.
I'll enjoy using it till then.

That rust at or directly above the edge is the killer. If it turns out to be merely surface rust you're okay but if it is pitted as you hone it out the bevel will begin to look like Swiss cheese.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

No one else wanted it either. No bids.
