    Default Ebay International

Do you check out other countries' ebay? My RAD knows no borders.

I got this on ebay France last week. Had some pitting on the tang and grime on the blade, but framebacks are so easy to clean. The horn scales cleaned up nice today too. Here's the ebay photo:

Original box, and has never been honed.

    After:

    Will hone her up tomorrow.

    And I forgot... it's a 7/8.

Do you speak French,or do you have to use an online translator for each page?

Oh very nice. I used to check some international sites but often the sellers don't accept paypal and sending money orders is expensive.
A couple of times I had to ask one of our international members to pay for me and I sent him the paypal, but that's really not fair to them.

Eventually what made me give up was that two sellers refused to send me the items I won. One of them wanted more money, in fact she relisted after my payment was in the mail and told me that I can put my bid again and if I win it she'll take my payment. I won for something like $8 more and since I wasn't going to go trough the trouble of having another payment sent to her, considering that it's just messed up she never send me the razors. She isn't selling anymore so she just stole my money.
I'd have lived with that but there was one more case when a seller took my money and told me he had listed for a colegue and has given him my address 'may be he will ship, may be not' was the last I heard from that seller.

From then on I sometimes check the international box on ebay searches - whatever turns up seems to be pretty safe and accepts paypal. Shipping is often $15 though as they insist on it being registered, which I can't really blame them for, but makes it only worth for expensive stuff.

    <rant over> sorry about this

Well, if you know what you're doing, of course.

There are nurses at work that speak french, german, and swedish, so I guess I have the major bases covered.

Yeah, shipping is very variable. Some want 20 euro, this guy just wanted 5 euro. I always ask up front.

Nice catch. I like those framebacks! It looks new.

I have to use Babelfish when trying to cull something from the French site. Damned glad there's no Scottish Ebay - if the typed words are anything like the spoken I'd need Babelfish there as well! :-)
