VINTAGE STRAIGHT RAZOR HESS PEARL DUCK DOUBLE DUCK NR - eBay (item 140324069265 end time Jun-06-09 13:36:57 PDT)

I know it's not the Goldedge handle but it still looked nice and pretty similar so I grabbed it.

This is my first Ebay razor and probably going to be the first one I shave with after I get it shave ready (I have 2 now, none are here yet) so I'm pretty excited about it.

Hope it turns out to be a decent buy.

Of course you realize its just rescaled its not a hess-duck. no such thing.

I don't know if its the picture but it appears to have a frown to it. With some work it should be a great shaver. Considering condition and replaced scales you probably paid a fair price for it.

Yeah I know it was just rescaled. I wasn't going to pay more than $55 for it. It looks like it is in decent shape and maybe I'll find an original handle later on.

the hone wear on that blade is way too much and way too uneven for me to even consider it.
it may be a bit hard to put a good edge on, but you'll only know after trying.

    but that's how you learn.

Shame about the frown, but with time that should be able to be sorted.

    Good luck!
