Item 140325906598
Antique Silver Barber Shaving Retractable Razor Strop - eBay (item 140325906598 end time Jun-15-09 19:39:34 PDT)
What a beaut! But brace yourself before you check out the repair. If I was on your side of the pond I would so buy this and try to persuade TM to put in replacement leather.

Those are some rough stitches to be sure. That'll leave a scar!

Strops are one of those things that in the really old days they made really ornate items and people could get a really individualized item. I have a small paddle strop that has an Elephant Ivory handle with a crest inscribed into it kind of like scrimshaw.
