    Kudos for actually calling it a microtome in your ebay listing and not trying to pass it off as a razor like others have done in the past.

    I'm not so sure that everyone else is being dishonest; it's quite possible that they simply don't know better. Even many of the members here on SRP don't know what a microtome is and would likely make the same mistake. (Not that I'm trying to defend ebay sellers.)

    Back on topic, I've had one, and I was able to get her shaving. It was a bit awkward, because I found it difficult to shave with only one side towards my face, but on the whole it was a fun challenge.

    I realize several have used them and gotten them to shave well but realize they are not designed for shaving. To me its like taking a large butterknife and honing it until it can be used for shaving.

    Yup, that's why I thought it presented an interesting challenge and then got rid of it once I'd had my satisfaction.
