I dunno. It's beautiful, it was on my watch list, I don't have an Escher and want one. I just couldn't pull the trigger, I watched it sell. I want a bigger Escher, but they are expensive.

That is pretty small, I'm not sure I would have paid even that much for one that size simply because I wouldn't much like using it and would end up buying a bigger one if I liked the way the stone worked on my blades.

I'd looked at the auction and actually hadn't noticed the size, but I still didn't watch/bid because I figured it would go way up. Every now and then I miss out on something really good because I assume the price is going to skyrocket... Oh well, always more fish in the sea.

interesting... i don't find this size too small and i've been using one for quite some time. i also have a 2"x10" which is nice size, but quite unnecessary. i most definitely can live happily with a 1x4 one and sometimes i think i'm likely to end up with just my 1x6.
