Default Who has been tracking Escher prices lately?

I have not kept up on the general value of Escher stones on Ebay for the last nine months or so. I do recall the value seemed to drop significantly; it was fairly common to see Eschers with intact labels, especially the YG Eschers go for $300-$400+ on Ebay. Then, I recall some excellent specimens around that time list on Ebay and on SRP for that price range and they didn't sell.

Generally, what price range are they going at these days for excellent intact label specimens? I'd appreciate the 2 cents of anyone that still tracks those stones.

I don't have any such specimens that I'm looking to sell, I'm just curious.

Chris I think the answer to that is it depends. For example when I was looking for a yellow/green I would have paid big $ for a labeled stone and I did from a private seller. I later grabbed a mint unused Y/G in the box with slurry stone for a third less than I paid for my first one.

So the number of collectors/honers who want one ebbs and flows as some get one and then don't seek another. I also think that how much an individual stone is talked up on the forums drives the value. That seems to ebb and flow too. Than there is the economy in general. I haven't been finding the spare $ to feed my RAD or my HAD that I had a year ago.

Thanks Jimmy. Given the fact that there are different Escher stone categories, I know the prices can vary.

I guess I was looking for the: "I remember seeing YGs in very good condition going often for $xxx and recently I've seen more than one go for $xxx. That kind of thing.

When I was a minute or too late and saw that labeled blue green go for $38.00 on a 'buy it now' I quit looking.
