Jesse James Razor?
I've been looking at ebay for a few days hoping to pick up some cheap razors to practice restoring on. Anyway, just came across this and wondering if you guys thought this was legit? Not that I'm interested in buying, but given the amount he's asking and the quality of the picture, it seems a little fishy to me. I also thought it funny that he mentions it's sharp.

Those carved initals are certainly not enough proof for me.But then, what would be?I can't conceive of a scenario in which I would believe it at any price.

Could they make the picture any smaller?

my thoughts exactly, with this exception. If JWJ left this razor in Kentucky while visiting family in the pre war or war years that would make it somewhat older, if he was using this postwar in the his outlaw days when he was going by the last name of Howard.......
BTW Jesse started his guerilla career in '62 IIRC at the age of 16, right after Frank came home from his enlistment in the infantry. Also, 110 years ago Jesse had already been dead for a while.Last edited by nun2sharp; 07-08-2009 at 07:13 PM.

It cant be Jesse's razor, I own all of them and have them framed and hanging on the wall with the three authentic George Washington hatchets made in china I bought from Ron.

Wow, certificate of authenticity included. I wonder what that was based upon other than either a fat fee or some computer artistry.
For a tiny fraction of that amount I'd rather have one of the Lone Rangers straights. They are there you know.No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero
