    Default My ebay restoration snags

I guess I got bit by the straight razor bug and I purchased four razors off of ebay. My intention is to practice restoring these. I found some information on the Genco, but not much on the rest. I've written descriptions on my blog Keen Edge if you want to take a closer look. Not anything stunning here but just wanted to share.....

This is the Genco. The tang says, Genco model B5, Genew, NY USA.

This one has so much text on it I'm not sure what to call it. The handle says, “Well Known.” The diamond shaped spine says, “Improved Silver Steel.” The blade says, “F.M.S Best.” And the tang, “FM Storm, Plainwell.”

This one simply says, "Blue Steel."

This last one is my favorite of the lot. The tang says, “Northfield Cutlery . Co, Conn.”

Nice indeed. I like the last pic, shows a very Sheffield influence.
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Couldn't find the pic of my Northfield razor. I love it, very sturdy shoulderless that shaves very well.
