    Default Won a Robeson ShurEdge

    Very Old "ROBESON SHUREDGE" Straight Razor ,BOXED... - eBay (item 390069843386 end time Jul-21-09 06:23:55 PDT)

    Looks to be in good shape with minimal wear. Any opinions on this one? I'd been intrigued about the Robesons since some guys seem to really love them.

    Your Robeson looks fine and will clean up to look even better. Does it have a blade etching that reads "The Razor That Fits Your Face"? I have several Robesons and could never bear to sell one, because they are such great shavers! Good snag.

    There's more to come! As soon as I get the ones I have out for restores and in shipping, I'll post more pics.

    As for the restore of this Robeson, I'm not really a handy guy. I may just send it out for honing depending on how it looks when it gets here.

    congratulations

    I just sold an identical Robeson and it was an excellent razor.

    Not very fancy mind you, but shaves (or at least that one did) as well as that Torrey.

    I'm not even sure what else needs to be said.

    oh, half micron diamond will bring it to a screaming edge

    And I love the Torrey! We'll see what kind of shape it's in when it gets here. I doubt it has any kind of a salvageable bevel (at least not one that I can dial in with a Swaty - my only hone). This one may go out to one of you honesters.
