Geneva Standard of Geneva Razor Sales Co.?
I posted this in the Ebay area rather than the Razor area since I do have this razor currently up for auction.
I'm familiar with Geneva Cutlery razors and Genco but can someone tell me where in chronology Geneva Razor Sales Co. fits into the Geneva/Genco mix?
Thanks.

Here is the oft quoted info from uniclectica.com:
GENEVA CUTLERY CO.
Geneva, New York
By 1912, the largest US manufacturer of razors. In 1928, firm reorganized as Geneva Cutlery Inc.
Used "GENCO" trademark
ca. 1902-1935
All the "Genco" marked razors I have seen have the Geneva, N.Y. USA transverse on the tang near the pin in two lines of text. Here are examples on manah's 1922 catalogue page for "Genco" razors:

The "Genco" trademark was used as early as 1917 since it is shown in this 1917 company description:

The "Geneva Cutlery Corp." marked razors I have seen had the Geneva, N.Y. USA in a single line of text on the tang parallel to the trademark. I presume that these are older since they seem more crude in some ways.
I have never seen one with the "Geneva Razor Sales Co." logo. However, I just googled that string and found a rusty one with the same markings here:

Thanks for the excellent detective work. I appreciate it. I had never seen a Geneva or Genco with that type of tang stamp either.
