I was strolling around the bay a bit ago looking for some overlooked gem and found this auction. After I stopped laughing I thought about this thread. Here's the auction:

Vntg Barber Straight Razor No Case I A Qualitat ?Scinte - eBay (item 370249167209 end time Aug-29-09 20:28:24 PDT)

The seller says : "...The razor feels very sharp, but part of it is broken off and rusted. This is a great collectible razor..." So many responses so little space allowed :-) I wonder why the seller didn't state it's a smooth shaver, a little work will bring it up to speed, or that she's a housewife and doesn't know much about razors. Yup I LOL-ed. It's gotta be a joke listing.

Seen one similar that said "part of the razor is broken making it very sharp " I wouldn't have bought all my hones if I knew that all I had to do was break one to get it sharp

I looked at that and thought for $5 I could turn it into something nice, but then I saw the $29 international postage. No thank you.

I'm sitting in the kitchen on my wife's laptop computer and stumbled back into this thread. After I'd been laughing for a bit my wife walked over to see what I was looking at. I showed her a few photos and she pointed out that the razor was on the guys legs - but how? Unless he used glue (unlikely - and this is where is gets truly unpalatable) my wife thinks that in one angle he's laying on his back with his legs in the air so as to keep the razor on them. Aaackkk! Gotta go barf now - how can I punch myself in the brain? A guy in cutoffs on his back displaying a razor balanced on this legs. Now if the lass in that other auction did the same....
