Interesting Stone, Shame About the Chips
I thought that this one may appeal to all the HAD junkies out there PURPLE SLATE SHARPENING STONE WITH UNUSUAL VOIDS on eBay (end time 02-Sep-09 21:44:01 BST)
Beautiful colour and figuring, I don't think I could live with the chips though

Given that the seller is in Leicestershire, and that the green spotting is a similiar green to Charnley stones, anyone think that this is a variant colour/ figuring of the usual Charnley stone?

i think it is not charnley doesn't look like it is hard enough. Purple color interesting stone and putting this messages up . i am trying to not to click this item.

Ive got a similar stone, with only a small green dot in it...about 1/4 inch in circumference...it gives off a very purple slurry. Bought it out of the U.K....it was just described as slate.

Just thought i'd throw this out there...it looks similar, anyhow. I thought originally it might be BBW, but now i know its not and wondered...note the green, circular inclusion, in the upper right of the stone...
