$785.00 and "reserve not met," wow. I notice it's a "7 day set" but there are 8 razors in the box.....

I agree it is a nice set but. ..... no way would I pay that for it and the reserve ain't met yet ! I figured his reserve would be $500. It will be interesting to see if it sells. I don't think the case is original to the set. If I'm not mistaken it would be marked "Henckles" on it somewhere, perhaps ..... make it probably with the twins logo. Nice set but just not worth what it is going for.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I agree, too much money. Course I wouldn't pay for any 7 day set, unless I got it real cheap to sell. Why the heck would I want to shave with the same type of razor seven days a week, when there are so many choices out there?
I suppose there are individual variances between the razors, but still. Anyway, I never thought I'd buy more than a few razors or a couple hones either.

Razors are 4/8, not everybody's preferred size to shave with.
Nice show piece though.Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose. Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr.

Wonder what the guy was thinking? It was over $100 per blade plus almost $100 for the box. Guess he figured it was all worth more as a set than the sum of the parts? I'd have gone for it for $700 IF it had been all at least 7/8 or wider. Then again, I made fun of the guy that had a Filly 14 up for sale as a Buy-It-Now only for $500. I think he got it.
I wonder if it might be worthwhile to build a set of 7 W&Bs with striking scales as a unique set? Might be a fun project, but as Kent mentions, why use the same razor every day when there's hundreds in my shop ready to use!
