    Default Help me out here...

Gents, my wife's birthday is coming up, and she's mentioned that she's quite interested in an Italian bag...it starts with G and ends in I and the middle part sounds a whole lot like "OUCH!!!".

So I'm selling some stuff on the bay, trying to raise some cash for a ridiculously expensive piece of leather. (Sounds familiar, doesn't it? )

So if you're interested in a (non NOS) filly #13 sub-cero, I happen to know a very charming, intelligent and, dare I say...handsome fellow in Japan selling one in OK condition. (Item number 280394872284)

Man, you must LOVE that woman! Good luck with it. Hopefully it fetches enough that you don't have to part with anymore!

Well, everyone deserves something nice, especially ridiculously expensive leather thingies =).

I hope she appreciates that you've parted with some of your precious blades for her baggie.

I'm iffed that I don't have the moolah to bid on that, since I just bought a blade. I hope it fetches you handsomely and is given a good home.

Good for you! The last purse I bought for my wife ( initials LV) cost more than my first automobile. Before you think I went totally overboard, it was a 1972 Ford Maverick. Our ladies deserve their fancy pieces of leather, or whatever else they want. They put up with our RAD and HAD, and still love us, don't they?!

I do, indeed. I doubt it will--it's nowhere near NOS condition. But I have my fingers crossed.

I'm not telling her. That's not the way it works.
You never know, this could be your chance to get a steal on a Fillie! Sill no bids!

Exactly, my friend. My wife goes so far as to mention "You haven't bought any soaps or razors in a while, isn't about time to go shopping?"

She's getting her bag and more.

Don't worry mate, I don't think there's such a thing as a steal on a Fillie at the moment.

If she really wants an expensive leather thingy, those gorgeous strops you're pushing are a few quid! You could give her one of those, if you dare!

Well there's telling and then there's being very carefully to conceal it but not so careful that the those curious enough can't find out .

I'll think about it. There's still time to drool.

    1. Women are meant to be loved, not understood.
    2. You should consider yourself lucky that your wife did not choose the "you're right, bespoke is better - an lo! your shoemaker will make women's shoes too!" route.
    3. As far as handbags are concerned, bespoke is better. It also delivers better value for money. My mother (who knows more about fashion in general, and leather goods in particular, than many) taught me to steer clear of big brand names when it comes to leather. Same as with watches: Breitling or Gucci watches are ridiculously expensive to begin with, but when you take into account that their clock mechanisms are bog standard low end Swiss... ah well, I digress.

I have yet to find a 13 with brown scales! I thought they only came with 14s. Nice razor in any case (says the Filly Freak). I can almost see it in my shaving box... :-)

Edit: +1 more on my Filly count! :-D
