Thread: Tough is it worth it question, please quick responses

Shell is a very specific kind of horsehide- it comes from a very narrow strip on the buttocks and is tanned a certain way I believe. Thats what I read up. Could be very wrong though. If Tony comments he'll know.

I'm not looking for a new razor lol but thanks. And my issue is I'm looking on the forums for a strop but they're as hard as damnit to find lol.

I personally would pass on this as the razor is good but I think the strop has seen better days. I would go for a basic DOVO from Lynn or the invisibleedge & look on the forums for a strop .

That linen side looks to be quite dirty. I wouldn't pass a razor over such a strop since the crap on top could damage the edge. Cleaning a vintage chalked linen strop back to a clean and usable condition without altering the flat uniform surface of the strop, now that's another dilemma. And one to which I have not personally found a satisfactory solution.

And BTW these quick response things need to at least go in the auction e-bay side of things I am moving this one... You should really just pick out one or two senior members who you trust and are willing and just fire them a PM for stuff like this...
