Well I have heard that Dovo made/ground blades for DD... Does anyone have any thoughts as to whether or not those are original scales? I'm thinking they probably aren't since the blade is a Satinedge, and all the Satinedges I've seen (that I can think of) have been in butterscotch or those clear synthetic scales (with or without logos).
Is this a case of "Look, I've got a Wade & Butcher Sheaf Works cause the razor says Wade & Butcher and the case says Sheaf Works and clearly this box is original to this razor!"

Something is amiss there. Hess and stainless steel and satinedge. That's not right. It might be some kind of frankenrazor.

Guaranteed to be an original worn out badly abused Satinedge blade rescaled with original Dovo scales AFAIC. Where the Hess comes into the equation is the strange part.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
