Default What's going on with this Friodur/Filly auction?

Lot of Friodur and Filarmonica razors

Am I missing something here? It almost looks like someone ground out all the heels of these razors - or is it just the photography? Someone been playing with their Dremel a little too much?

Who would do that, and why?

Five Friodurs and a Filarmonica? If I hadn't seen the photos, I'd be all over this...

At least three of them look like the blade has been shortened at the toe.

That is strange, looks like it was welded or something, maybe these were used by a wealthy disabled person? Even so, I would guess that they shave very well.

The Filly looks like it lost a grinder fight.

Personal preference my butt. If he liked them that way, he wouldn't be selling them.

I feel sad that so many good blades had to suffer this fate...

in all honesty, the original owner could have passed away, the seller can easily be some ebay auctioneer

No, we know the seller, used to be a member here, so he is well aware of everything about the razors.

$180 for the lot makes it $30/each. I guess somebody really liked them the way they are.
