Grrr... Outsniped
Every now and then I see a razor that I really want, and yesterday was such a day. The auction just ended, and I was outsniped. I hate being the first loser...

A really nice Joseph Elliot with thumb and finger notches and what looks like some work on the spine.

Someone wanted it more than you did. When I get out bid at the end I always think of the money I saved. Win or lose there is always going to be a next one .... as long as we're on the green side anyway.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I was watching it as well...such an outrageous tang! Hope it went to a good home, but that was too many $$$$$$. Oh well, missed razors are like taxis and women; there will be another one along soon!

Personally I don't like those double notched out tangs. Just the aesthetics of it. Someone else would find it attractive I know. That's why god made apples & oranges I suppose.

Thanked: 21I've got mine up on the bay now but it just has a thumb notch, these things seem like they're about a full generation older than the 1900's razors?
