    Talking He bids, he SCORES!

    I think I got lucky on this one, what do you guys think?

    Vintage Pacific HDW & Steel Co Stiletto Stright Razor - eBay (item 330366002083 end time Oct-13-09 10:25:20 PDT)

    Here's what it looks like after a quick once-over with a toothbrush and an hour or so with 2k grit sandpaper.











    White balance & levels are a little off but you get the idea. Check out that file work on the tang!!

    Manufacturer: Pacific Hardware & Steel Co.
    Back side of tang: Stiletto trade mark
    Etched on blade: La Rena
    Blade: 5/8 (half hollow?) x 2 7/8,jimps on both sides of the tang.
    Handle: cream colored celluloid, decorated on both sides.

    I don't think I'm done with the cleanup yet, there are still some (very small) stains on the blade and the area where the tang meeds to scales needs some attention. The jimps are still cacked up too. I'm hoping careful application of a brass bristled brush will get them sorted. I might try to put a mirror finish on this one. Can't wait to get it honed up and shave with it!
