Jowika 7-day Set - Value?
I've got an option to buy a 7-day set of Jowika razors. They appear to be in virtually new condition. No discoloration or pitting, scales are in good shape. Obviously this kind of thing is worth what one is willing to pay, but on the average market what do you think it's worth?

They are pretty but they are 4/8 blades. I have a couple of 4/8 and I never seem to shave with them. I certainly wouldn't want a set of 7 of them. OTOH, if you like a 4/8 maybe they are worth going after. A 5/8 is about as small as I like to shave with but YMMV.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

If you plan on keeping them for yourself, I'd say they're worth about $350 - because that makes $50 per blade which I think is about right for a keeper. If you cannot hone your own, then they may be worth slightly less to you. If you like the idea of having a complete set and if they come in a nice box, then they may be worth slightly more to you.
To me, they're be worth maybe $20 per blade, simply because they are not a size or style of razor that I'm particularly fond of.

Hmm, didn't notice the size. Scrap it, I'm looking for bigger, not smaller blades.

Are the ones you saw 4/8, or was Jimmy talking about the set on ebay that was pointed out? It is entirely possible that they made sets in more than one size, so that bit of information is worth checking out. You didn't mention if you saw the set you have a chance to buy in person, but you'd notice if the blades were only 4/8; they look very small.

I only saw photos, and since I was looking at the edge quality and not the size of the blade I didn't notice it, but looking again at the photos I noticed that they are indeed at most a 4/8 blade. Ah well. Gotta keep looking.
