Some ugly ass blades, agreed! But, are they as ugly as mine? (Bought it with a set of 8 off Craigslist.)
Seriously, though, how did they get honed that way? Or, maybe why? It doesn't seem to me as if a blade would end up that way unless it was intended.

Maybe they were actually used as plain knives and mutilated that way cause the thin edge would have broken anyway.
