Default Fellow SRPers, some advice please.

Won an auction in EU. Shipment arrived today. Two of four razors are NOT manufactured by the names listed in the auction. One of these two was the principal reason you wanted to win in the first place. What would you do?

Return it, be out about $25 and have nothing to show for it.
Contact the seller for partial refund.
Send them out for restore anyway.

    Thank you!

I would contact the seller and demand (in a nice way) a full refund including shipping both ways. I would of course explain the reason for my dissatisfaction. If the seller wasn't agreeable to that I would immediately file a dispute with paypal, escalate it to a claim and win in the dispute. A seller who misrepresents the items in an auction is either not paying attention to his business or dishonest.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

    Default dig in

Assuming you have the patience, do just what JimmyHAD said. There's enough jerks on Ebay getting away with this crap. One more thing -- let the rest of us know who the seller is if they aren't 100% compliant.

Jimmy is dead on, I had to do this once before. I ended up getting my paypal account reimbursed & actually kept the item at the sellers request, they didn't want to pay for the shipping back.

Don't do partial refund. That only rewards the seller. Everything or nothing. Can you really divide the value amongst the lot accurately? You probably paid less that they're 'worth', so you could ask for a lot of the lot price for the one bad razor. It's just a mess.

Something no one else mentioned: Are the two different razors any good themselves? If they are good quality brands in good shape, it sucks that you got ripped off on the one that you specifically wanted, but you may end up pleased with what you did get.

That being said, I would be pretty angry myself, and probably go Jimmy's route.

Yet another agreement on Jimmy's approach here as well. Unless of course you believe that what you did get is worth the money spent. Still - shipping out different razors is either a simple mistake but bad management, or, a dishonest crook. Please keep us advised, and if the seller doesn't fall over himself making it better please let us know the seller's handle so we can avoid him.
