    You should make one Jimmy, couldn't be too hard, but I still don't understand how it would be used

    If I were spending a thousand dollars on an antique, I'd want a little more assurance than, ~"AFAIK, this piece is original".

    Going by the shape of the stone, and the fact the holder has a belt hook, I would think that this is a scythe stone, and likely far too coarse to be of interest to most of us here, unless someone is really jonesing for a HAD fix.
