Default The new Suehiro stone Line

    Look at the Gokumyou line:

Thought I'd share this info for the HAD folks here.

I had a 5k Suehiro and it was great stone with the feedback of 1k. It was very fast cutter too.

Yes steep price, but cheaper than Chosera. I was more intrigued by the 20k stone, that is some what an odd grit for a synthetic.

I think you need to try them and then report back after you have honed a few hundred razors on them. Then you can tell us what they are made of and how they compare to all the other stones you have tried. Have you used Chosera stones??

    Thanks,

    Lynn

Is Suehiro a brand of stone or a type of stone (or region, etc)? I have a 1000-grit suehiro with a Robert Larson Co. sticker that I got for about $20 at a local woodworking shop...is it the same Suehiro discussed in this thread? I guess it could make sense that if the 10K is $200, the 1K could be $20.
