Default Someone is clearing out a bunch of hones

This guy is selling a lot of hones:
eBay Seller: fresnomerchant: Shaving, razor items on eBay.com

I don't know a lot about hones yet, but I'm wondering if there might a good deal somewhere here to get started. I have this one on my watch list as it looks like a dual sided stone for rough/fast cutting and then a barber's hone for the final finish before stropping (pasted or otherwise).

STRAIGHT RAZOR HONE SHARPENING STONE Lot Of 2 - eBay (item 320465142705 end time Dec-25-09 10:19:05 PST)

I'm not eager to start honing, although I already have a couple "donor" razors form ebay that I don't mind ruining
I just happened to take a look at these hone listing and think there might be an opportunity to at least get a finishing hone on the cheap. Problem is, I don't recognize any of these, so I can't tell what they are.

    Any thoughts?

The soonest ending auction is a 4x2 BBW/Coti + a gimmicky barber hone. It's got a lot of interest already (at $50 with hours left to go).

Pretty much ALL his auctions have at least one hone that looks good to me. Several of them have nice condition Swatys. Most of his hones are in really nice shape. His other really interesting auction (after the first one) to me is this one.

A synthetic looking barber hone with a slurry stone in a fancy case... that's a pretty unique thing there.

Sure, there are deals to be had. But the first step to finding them is NOT to post a link to an auction that you are interested in. Do the research. The answers to all of your questions are here on this site.

Posting a link just draws attention and will likely result in additional bidders and a higher price.

    Good luck on your search.
