Default Insane or wrong decimal point?

Am I completely missing something, or is this well worn, frowning razor actually something rare and special. Someone is trying to sell this on ebay for more than a Filly or Dubl Duck in mint condition.
Oh and the spelling just crowns it off. 'Authantical'?

Never heard of that manufacturer (& don't know how good they were), but no razor in that poor shape should be going for anything close to a Filly or DD. By the time you hone that frown out, there'd be almost nothing left.

He must be considering it a rare antique.I find that a lot of antique people think because they are antiques that they are worth a fortune.

The seller is obviously clueless . Unless of course , someone even more clueless buys it .

the only way that it can command such a price is if it is not sold as a razor but as an antique item, perhaps because of its rarity.

As a razor it's fit only for the recycle bin.

He's obviously seeing the prices Filly's and big WB's and such are going for and doesn't get it. He probably would never guess we're buying these things because we want to use them to shave with. To him straight razors are just selling for a lot of money.

Oh well, wonder if he'd buy a few for half that price. Leave him plenty of room for profit. Then I could buy a Filly...

Theres a thought... Sell him our 'Authantical' old razors for a quarter of the price he is asking, for him to then resell at his quite fantastic asking value. Wonder if he would go for it. Lol.
On a related note, I wonder how much he paid for that thing? Did someone gouge him on the initial price I wonder?

I wonder if there's something going on with this particular razor that we're not seeing, as the auction listing also notes that the guy has received (and presumably turned down) three offers of the razor.

Maybe it has some antique value?

Lowe is an unusual German name, is it not? Well, there ya go!! Made in Germany by the hands of James Lowe. An Englishman that infiltrated Solingen and learned the trade. Very rare.
