I picked up one of these recently. Mine doesnt have original scales, but the blade is in good condition and it shaves like a dream. Mine will become a good starter razor for the next victim (i mean convert).

i've tried a weyersberg 'arrow' before and sold it (to you, actually). but 'cornetas' seem to fetch a pretty penny 'round these parts so i want to see what the hoopla's about.

honestly, i'm after some eskilstuna steel; lost an auction earlier today on the bay so went looking for weyersberg and found this.

My Corneta is very similar to yours, and is one of my top shavers. Wish I had another one. Tell you what, I'll cry and you can laugh!

HAHAHAHA I just realised where I got that from!!! If its possible to have a blonde moment, I am having it!!

would be interested to hear how it shaves compared to that arrow - its hard to tell from pics and no measurements, but the blade looks soooo close in shape, size, grind etc to the arrow.....

Actualy your Corneta is better than mine! Just noticed the heavy 7/8? blade and French point. Mine is 5/8 with the ho hum round point. Got a couple of Swedes, but like the Corneta shave quality more.

the arrow is thinner (5/8) whereas this one looks thicker (6/8 or 13/16), and the arrow is shoulderless PLUS it's got a barber's notch (this one looks like it's a french point).

There's no reason to cry, you should be happy now that you're the owner of a nice razor.
